Characteristics of Carbon Steel Plate

2022-10-13 15:04:32

Carbon Steel Plate is the earliest and most used basic material in modern industry. While striving to increase the output of low-alloy high-strength steel and alloy steel, industrial countries around the world also pay great attention to improving the quality, expanding the variety and scope of use.

At present, the output of Carbon Steel Plate accounts for about 80% of the total output of steel in various countries. It is not only widely used in construction, bridges, railways, vehicles, ships and various machinery manufacturing industries, but also widely used in modern petrochemical industry, marine development and other aspects.

Iron carbon alloy with carbon content less than 2.11% and no other alloy elements except iron, carbon, silicon, manganese, phosphorus, sulfur and other impurities within the limit. Carbon content of industrial carbon steel is generally 0.05%~1.35%. The performance of Carbon Steel Plate mainly depends on the carbon content. With the increase of carbon content, the strength and hardness of the steel increase, and the plasticity, toughness and weldability decrease. Compared with other steels, it has the advantages of the earliest use, low cost, wide performance range and the largest consumption. It is applicable to water, steam, air, hydrogen, ammonia, nitrogen and petroleum products with a nominal pressure of PN ≤ 32.0MPa and a temperature of - 30-425 ¡æ. Common grades include WC1, WCB, ZG25, high-quality steel 20, 25, 30 and low-alloy structural steel 16Mn.
